Privacy Policy

Vancouver TCM operates a traditional Chinese medicine clinic at M33-970 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC. This policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with this website and with enquiries made to the clinic. It is written to reflect the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.

This website does not ask you to create an account, complete a form or submit any personal or health information. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not build a profile of visitors.

Our hosting provider may process standard technical data — such as an IP address, browser type and the page requested — in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. This data is used for operation and security, not for marketing.

If you call or email the clinic, we receive the details you choose to share — such as your name, contact information and the reason for your enquiry. We use that information to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange care. Please avoid sending detailed health information by email where possible; a phone call is more secure.

Clinical records are created and kept only when you attend for assessment or treatment. Health information is collected directly from you, with your consent, and is used to provide care, maintain the clinical record required of registered practitioners, and communicate with you about your treatment.

Clinical records are held securely and retained in line with the record-keeping requirements of the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. They are not sold, and are disclosed only with your consent or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Under PIPA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, and ask questions about how that information has been used or disclosed. Requests can be made to the clinic at info@vancouvertcm.ca.
